John Donne

今天跟姊去看電影 Tristan and Isolde, 本來是想看極地長征的, 不過她比較想看這一部. 神奇的是, 劇情不難預測, 但還是覺得這部電影好看, 我想應該是選角, 以及人物性格的緣故.

裡面有出現一首詩, 覺得還不錯, 是 John Donne 寫的, 他的詩最有名的就是那首「No Man is an Island」
至於電影中的這首則是情詩：

My face in thine eyes, thine in mine appears.
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest.

Where can we find two better hemispheres...
without sharp North, without declining West?

Whatever dies was not mixed equally. If our two loves be one...
and thou and I love so alike that none can slacken...

眼尖的人看到最後一句, 應該就想到 Heminway 了吧.
